Let’s face it, when you sit down to read anything by Laurie, or you have her as a speaker it’s time to loosen up and have some fun! But wait a minute…while you were laughing, you’ve learned some valuable and unforgettable lessons along the way. Hey! How’d she do that? Laurie has a distinct way of getting the message across – whether the message be effective communication, living intentionally, or your own unique relationship with God. It’s been described as “playful”, “charming”, “engrossing” and “bold”. |

How does she do it?

| In speaking and acting: Laurie gets the audiences’ attention with a humorous sketch. Her speaking is followed up with interactive non-threatening audience participation. The audience will remember the message if they are involved. The result? An applicable message that has already earned a place in the participant’s head and heart. In writing: Humor goes where other written words fear to tread. Fashioned after many of the great comediennes, Laurie finds the humor in the every day, applying it to Christian principles. This feeling of camaraderie between author and reader ultimately points to God. Laurie has written for Honor Books, Shine magazine, and The Minister’s Family magazine. Being raised in a Christian home, Laurie became a Christian at a young age. With a degree in Communications from Geneva College, she specialized in theatre, public relations and having a mischievously good time. In her…ahem… “maturing” years, she has learned to channel that playful enthusiasm toward sharing with others the absolute joy in the Lord. She is a graduate of CLASS (Christian Leaders, Authors and Speakers Services) and is a Certified Personality Trainer. Laurie has been married for 23 years to John. Together, they consider parenting to be the best job in the world as they raise their daughter, Kailey. They live in Orlando, Florida. God has blessed Laurie with barrier-busting humor, mesmerizing acting skills, and a desire to see Christians draw closer to God…all in one unique presentation!
